About Us
Our humble beginning starts in the small town of Iola, Texas. My grandparents owned a small piece of land that had a quaint creek running through it. The aquatic life in that creek was plentiful and varied. As a young boy, I spent countless hours down in that creek wearing my rubber boot, equipped with a minnow net and enthusiastic curiosity for what I would find. I marveled at all the little fish and crustaceans that I managed to catch. Many of those fish looked very different then the common mosquito fish or shiner, because they were in fact killifish! Thus, sparking my lifelong passion of keeping and breeding killifish. I now find myself with over 40 tanks full of various killifish species and pursuing a degree in wildlife and fisheries sciences.
